What the tool does
Star source currently runs locally for the channel owner's workflow. It is not a public sign-up service.
- Reads the authorized channel's name, channel ID, and subscriber count for a connection check.
- Uploads a video file selected by the operator, together with its title, description, visibility, and other upload metadata.
- Includes optional YouTube comment tools: read channel comments, post a reply, and reject a comment (which hides it from public display).
- The source code contains an internal helper to delete a specified video; no normal command or user-interface entry point was found in the reviewed code.
Important upload behavior
The current upload code marks videos as AI-generated/synthetic and sets the made-for-kids declaration to “No.” The command-line upload currently defaults to public visibility if no visibility is supplied. The operator should review the video and its metadata, set the intended visibility, and confirm the audience declaration before each upload. The current code does not enforce that review as a technical confirmation step.
AI-assisted comment replies
If the optional comment watcher is enabled, it sends non-spam YouTube comment text to the configured AI API to generate a reply. The software does not add the commenter’s name or channel ID to the prompt. The operator has selected DeepSeek as the provider, and the configured endpoint points at the official DeepSeek API host (api.deepseek.com) with no intermediary service in between. Processed comment records and log entries are automatically deleted locally after 30 days; details and DeepSeek’s own data handling are described in the Privacy Policy.
